A comprehensive assessment of the client's substance use disorder must be administered face-to-face by an alcohol and drug counselor within three calendar days from the day of service initiation for a residential program or within three calendar days on which a treatment session has been provided of the day of service initiation for a client in a nonresidential program. If the comprehensive assessment is not completed within the required time frame, the person-centered reason for the delay and the planned completion date must be documented in the client's file. The comprehensive assessment is complete upon a qualified staff member's dated signature.
We serve Moorhead, Fargo, West Fargo, and surrounding communities.
PHP is appropriate for patients who have mild to moderate mental, emotional, and/or substance use disorders who require coordinated, intensive, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary treatment. PHP is appropriate for patients who are able to maintain themselves in the community at a minimum to moderate level of functioning and those who present no immediate threat to themselves or others. PHP also is beneficial for patients who are making a transition from inpatient care back into the community or can be a supplement to the recovery process for patients who have failed to respond adequately to standard weekly outpatient therapy.
IOP provides 12 hours of group therapy per week as well as individual counseling, education and transition preparation. This program provides structure and accountability with the positive support needed to build rapport and access internal motivation for change. Clients beginning IOP will attend group 4 times weekly for 3 hours per group session and as clients display and verbalize an increase in motivation, progress, and a decline in negative outcomes and don’t need such intense professional support, they will “step down” to LIOP, effectively “stepping away” from the support of Beth’s Place staff as they become more independent.
LIOP provides 6 hours of group therapy per week as well as individual counseling, education and transition preparation. Clients attend group 2 times weekly for 3 hours.
REM provides 2 hours of group therapy per week and meets on Mondays. Clients develop their individualized person-centered recovery plans that will assist them upon their discharge from treatment and identify skills that will help them maintain their overall health. The plan will identify the supports needed to sustain the progress achieved in treatment or individual recovery. Relapse prevention interventions will be discussed along with the recognition of mental health symptoms so the client may develop symptom management techniques (such as symptom tracking, self-care, meditation, group support). Relapse Enhancement & Maintenance group includes information to access services after treatment to decrease psychiatric or substance use triggers from becoming problematic and may include mutual self-help groups, continued individual counseling, mental health services, or wellness practices.
