*Over the years I’ve learned that guilt and shame are dream killers, codependency leaches, joy stealers, and peace sabotages. They keep you focused on what you did, so hard it’s hard to focus on what you’re doing and what you want to do next.
Let that crap go.
*You don’t need to seek help only if you’re addicted. Seek help if you’re making choices that put your life in danger. The world needs you.
* Sobriety is not singular with a substance. Sobriety includes cycling, abuse, emotional trauma, impaired productivity, injured relationships, impulsiveness, depression, grief, pleasure, and fear. Sobriety is when your children can look at you and trust what they see.
*Resisting life’s lessons feels good on your ego but gravely injures your soul
*Others may question your worth. Others may look for all kinds of ways to diminish your worth. But what is inside of you no one can take from you or tarnish.
We all make mistakes, we all need grace, we all are a work in progress
* One of the organs most affected by alcohol is the brain.
With regular alcohol use, we may experience negative changes in our mood, mental and emotional health, and cognitive functioning.
